Baby Girl Blogs

My Bre wants a blog. Are we letting 9 year olds have blogs these days? I bet June Cleaver never had to contemplate that one!

Hmmm...good question! I have no idea! Are there other blogs out there for young girls? My daughter is only two, so I have a few years before I have to decide on this issue!

My daughters (11 & 12) have a blog together but it is PRIVATE. It can't be accessed unless you have been sent an invitation. They post only occasionally but they LIKE being bloggers!

I don't know really mine is 3.5 still no blog LOL

I know girls from some friends who are 11 and up and have blogs, but private :) maybe that will help for a while :)

I don't know how Blogger does it, but on WordPress you can have a blog that is visible only to you and people you have let sign in trough your account, like users!

A private blog is a good idea. June Cleaver really had no idea, did she?

Wow, I don't know about that one, either! Well, you could think about making it *private* so that only she and her friends and you can see it. Maybe that's an option. :)

hope you have a great weekend!

Kids now-a-days...My four year old is almost better on the computer than my husband (I guess that isn't saying much - but it's still scary)
Raising a child in this cell phone/computer age is going to be interesting...

(love your frugal ideas!)

I happened upon your blog from "Delightful Home" and your question caught my eye.
My eleven year old has been blogging just over a year (you can get to it from mine). It is public and she has never had a problem with anyone harassing her or anything. We are just real careful about how much personal info she publishes.
The blog has been good for her as it gives her a place to express herself and share some of her adventures.
I hope that helps a little with your with your decesion.
Have a great weekend,
Jennifer

honestly, i wouldn't let her. and that's because of all the weirdos out there. i am very discerning about names, location, etc. on my own blog. sometimes children don't grasp it completely until it's too late. but that's just my two cents. ;)

great post and good question.
