Threads of Thrill

My dear, sweet hubby finally indulged me in a day of fabric shopping at the world famous Sir's Fabrics in Fayetteville, TN. This is the biggest bunch of fabric I have ever seen!

There are three buildings in all, two are connected and the third is across the street. I got fabric for as little as 25 cents a yard! I also got designer fabric for $5.99, that was $23.99 at Hobby Lobby for the exact same fabric. I have no idea how they do it, but I can't wait to go back soon!

The only problem with all the beautiful fabric is now I have a long list of projects. I got pretty French inspired fabric to do a new shower curtain for my bathroom, new fabric and trim for my upcoming bedroom redo, pretty 25 cent/yard fabric for a simple table runner, and gorgeous bright colors for aprons.

If you are within driving distance of this store and love to sew, you must make a trip there one day soon. You will love it -- but I hope you can get out in less than 4 hours (cause ya know I wanted to spend even longer there!)

That store looks amazing! Congrats on your good buys!

I look at fabric prices sometimes and think it would cheaper just to buy it instead of making it myself.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I love fabric stores. We don't really have one around here ~ JoAnn Fabrics doesn't really count. I might just be willing to drive from CT to get a few of these bargins!

How is the sentiment "It's OK to say Merry Christmas" grabbing the Christmas spirit? Are referring to the imaginary "war" on Christmas?

It's okay to say Happy Holidays too. It's okay to not exclude others during the Christmas season. Jesus is the reason for the season--I'm pretty sure he loves everybody. Even unbelievers.

Enjoy the holidays.

Beth.

The "It's OK to say Merry Christmas" button refers to the slogan being used by the American Families Association, which is a Christian organization.

Whatever holiday you and your family enjoy, Beth, I hope your days are filled with bright and cheery memories!

I love Sirs! Although, I've never actually set foot in the actual store, I've ordered quite a bit from their online store over the years.

When we lived in Nashville, the woman who made the curtains for my house told me about it. She says they make a trip their twice a year because their prices are so good.

You'll have to tell me your secret to getting your husband to go with you. :-)
