Although I have so, so many bloggy friends whom I admire, one of my favorites just had her sixth child. Marshmallow Circus has my dream life. I would so love to have more kiddos and stay at home with them all day. She takes such beautiful care of all her little peeps. And her new baby boy is soooooo cute!

Lately my quest is to find new blogs. It is so much fun to stumble upon someone's thoughts who closely align with your own. Or maybe they think completely different, and it provokes you to think a little differently. I love finding new blogs that make me take notice.

My Secret Coupon Source

I have never posted about a company. I don't do ads, either. This, however, is a little different.

In the past, some of you have asked me where I get my extra coupons. My dear friend Angie, who operates Lady Bug's Coupons, is a wonderful source for all of those coupons that you want more of, but just do not want to buy the entire paper. Another reason is that some coupons only come out in certain regions, and if you want better deals, you might need to get them outside your own region. For example, I only get .25/1 Charmin, she gets $1/1. Yep, it's worth the extra few cents to get coupons from her.

Not only is it a great source, she also has some of the best prices, and hands down the very best shipping prices I have ever used. She accepts Paypal, or other credit cards. She ships very fast, most times within the same day.

Being a coupon chick for quite some time, I have used a few other sites (there are only a handful of these). I highly recommend this source, Angie is the ONLY clipping service I use now. 1. What did you accomplish this past week? I got my stockroom reorganized and wrapped lots of presents

2. Did anything not go as expected? ALWAYS! We lost a pet this week, which is always sad.

3. What was the highlight of your week? Reading “Click Clack Moo” with my girls after dinner last night, which was a meal I did not have to cook, due to my wonderful hubby!

4. Did anything exciting happen that you did not expect?
Hmmmm, this week, no, not really. Sorry, my life is planned out pretty well and is just boring overall.

Inspiration from a Friend

Recently I had lunch with my friend Meredith, who has a wonderful blog at Like Merchant Ships. I don't think she has quite realized how she has inspired me to change how I live. I usually just live cheap and it shows. Our home is not a showplace.
However, Meredith has really inspired me to take what I already own and turn it around to be a more beautiful place. I have linens and pretty dishes...I just never used them. They were put away in favor of paper plates (free with coupons of course), and clean top tables with no real decoration. I also have odd bits of furniture stuck in corners with no real purpose.
I have been trying to find ways to add elegance with what I already have so that my family feels more special everyday, and not just while company is here. I hate living in constant fear that someone will arrive unannounced -- I would rather have a home that people like to come to.
So this short blog is a thank you card -- of sorts -- to my friend Meredith, for all her wisdom and inspiration.

Testing, Testing, 123

Ok, so this blogging thing is all new to me. Sure, I post on forum boards for a few different things, like couponing (which is a PASSION of mine) and Christian living, but not just an everyday life sort of thing.
Which is odd, because I used to be a writer. Until recently, I worked at a paper and wrote about human interest and places to go. So now, I work in research and wanted a writing outlet. So here it is........
I have a lot of inspiration in life, in varied places, that only seem to connect because they catch my attention. I love HUGE families, and since we are kind of a smaller family with only 4 children, then it seems like I am in constant awe of families with huge families. Like The Duggar family! I love them, and I think it is WONDERFUL that she has recently had another child, which is her 17th.
Anyways, life, in all aspects, is what I intend to comment on. Of course, since my viewpoint is that of a frugalite, then you won't see me rambling on about the latest fashions. But, raising my family and giving thanks to God is high on my order of things to do......Stay Tuned!
