I don't know there are so many choices. My family seems to love peanutbutter cookies with chocolate stars the best. They are easy and look pretty.
Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, oh the list is endless!

Oh my gosh, I am in the same boat. It is almost overwhelming! We are doing shortbreads, buckeyes (peanut butter and chocolate), and sugar cookies. Yum!

Sugar cookies! They are so much fun to make!! :)
Since we toned it down this year, I only did sugar cookies & sprinkles because it involved my children and everyone loves them. Once a year. Plus they don't require any odd ingredients.
Peanut butter and Jelly cookies! They are a little treat I came up with a few years ago and my family loves them!
We are doing peanut butter blossoms, chocolate chip, and paula deen's monster cookies.
Try the Baker's One Bowl Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies. The recipe is on the back of their Baking Chocolate squares box. It is really simple and REALLY good. The cookies are super big too. You can only eat one maybe two at a sitting, because they are so chocolaty!
I vote sugar cookies because you will have so much fun decorating them. The entire family can participate.
